When the pandemic started, Brian transitioned to working from home, and everything else stopped. The gate at the end of his driveway—always open and inviting friends to come in—was closed for the first time since he lived in his house.

His band went on a forced hiatus, causing him to lose a major part of his artistic life. However, working from home did give him new confidence in his career abilities. He works for a local magazine and feels less constrained without the crowded office environment.
