Ryan's family lives on the east coast, and earlier this year, his step-mother passed away. He was unable to travel there to be there for his grieving father. Also, his 160-person wedding was reduced to 10 people, and his family had to be remote.
It's not all bad though, he was finally able to travel recently having been fully vaccinated, and his smaller wedding was wonderful, and they saved almost $30,000. Also, he feels like he has personally been able to grow a lot during the pandemic.
"So while the pandemic has oddly frozen life in many respects, we accomplished so much during it."
